The founders and consultants at Tengah Works have worked in and alongside Singapore small businesses for over a decade, in sectors including professional services, trade, education, and logistics. That background matters when we are assessing which tools are worth the effort for a firm of a particular size and type.

We are also familiar with how small Singapore firms are structured — often owner-led, with one or two staff handling a wide range of tasks — and we tailor every recommendation to that reality rather than to an imagined larger organisation.

We keep close track of which AI-enabled tools are proving useful for small businesses — not by following industry press, but by paying attention to what is working in practice for the firms we support. When a tool is genuinely helpful, we recommend it. When one is attracting attention but not delivering, we say so.

Our selections are based on reliability, ease of use for non-technical staff, and the cost of the tool relative to the benefit it delivers. We will never recommend something that requires a dedicated administrator to maintain.

Integration work rarely goes perfectly in the first two weeks. Systems connect in unexpected ways, staff develop questions once they start using something day-to-day, and small adjustments are almost always needed. That is why we include a fortnight of follow-up in the Aligned Integration scope as standard — not as an add-on.

For retainer clients, weekday support means a real person will read your message and respond within a reasonable window. We do not route queries through a ticketing system with multi-day turnaround times.

The three Tengah Works services are priced at S$178, S$320, and S$550 per month respectively. These figures are fixed and published. We do not negotiate on price because we have already set prices that reflect what the work is worth and what a small Singapore firm can sensibly spend.

The Centring Session is designed so that you can assess value on a single engagement before committing to anything further. The retainer is reviewed quarterly so that if circumstances change, the arrangement can be adjusted.

Every engagement produces written records: an opportunity map from a Centring Session, a flow diagram and staff notes from an Aligned Integration, and a quarterly summary from a retainer arrangement. These are not afterthoughts — they are part of the service because we believe you should have a clear record of what was done and why.

Progress is discussed in plain language. If something is not working as intended, we say so in the quarterly summary rather than presenting a polished report that obscures the actual picture.
